Ty Mawr Estate is a secluded farm with cottages set on a thirty acre site in the beautiful Nantmor valley central Snowdonia. The historic stone cottage is adjacent to a grade 2 listed medieval hall house known as Capel Anwes, a truly rare survivor dating from 1525.

The surrounding mountain scenery is spectacular and the rich natural history is notable, especially for the protected Western Atlantic Oak woods and Northern Atlantic wet heaths. My mother Ruth Janet Ruck chronicled her life farming here in three books.

With a keen interest in sustainable living we have undertaken solar and hydro projects within the farm. Our water is sourced from local springs and filtered into the cottages.

We are currently planting and preserving rare  fruit trees native to the British Isles in an ongoing conservation project and hope to sustain and grow these for future generations.
